Unlucky on Sunday against a battle hardened Badshot Lea. They probably aren't quite as strong as they were last season but their equaliser was absolute class, curling home from the edge of the box, giving Cat no chance. Cos scored a great goal before that, back-heeling from 15 yards out after great work from Ritchie and James, and I thought we bossed it for the first twenty minutes, with our new 433 formation working well.
Once they scored, our heads dropped and although we looked comfortable before the break, second half we never really got going. They changed keepers at half time and their lad who came out for the second half stopped us in the final third time and time again. I was last man for their goal and had to run back on to their striker but the ref felt he was on-side and he finished very well. We never really looked like equalising and we do need to find a way of getting back into games from behind. Teams at this level are good at defending leads but we need to believe in ourselves more when chasing the game. Remember the demolition jobs against Milford and Folly Hill in November!!
Good news on the injury front.... it sounds as though Jim will be back for Hindhead in two weeks, and Nick is not too far away either, after his ice-skating misfortune.
