Another must win game and another local Derby. This week we welcomed Chiddingfold to Badger Park.
There was a different buzz and feel about the place this Saturday afternoon, programmes on offer, the game being recorded, a photographer on hand and spectators watching the game! Lovely stuff
It look only 3 minutes for cheers to ring around the park when Chris Turner timed his run perfectly to meet a good free kick from Ryan Luff.
9 minutes later Chris was at it again. This time meeting a fierce cross from Will Grove to make it 2-0.
A great start for the dons in front of a bumper crowd.
It wasn’t long before the third and a flick on from Chris Turner was chased down by Josh Hitchcock who beat his man before playing a left footed cross into Kuda who’s shot was parried by the keeper before turning it into the net.
The game was done and dusted before half time when Greg Lyall got in on the act.
Following a back injury to Kuda Kamoto, a fit again Felix Onabanjo returned to the squad and instantly made an impact. Beating his man, twisting and turning found Greg with a right footed cross who headed it into the left hand corner.
The second half was a bit of a stalemate.
Chidd got a goal back via an unfortunate own goal by Ryan Luff, but Will Edwards wasn’t really tested.
Tom Winter and Matt Metcalfe came on for Greg Lyall and James Mariner.
A few chances fell our way to really put on a show but the game finished 4-1!
Another superb display and win for The Dons who go into Ottershaw on hot form.
