Grassroots Football makes it's long awaited return this weekend with 3 of the 5 sides in action. As we look to try and conclude another interrupted season.
First Team
Have 5 league matches left as it was agreed to try and conclude the season teams would only play each other once. The Dons will be looking for a strong finish to try and secure promotion to the elite league.
They face a tough trip away to local rivals Shottermill in what is always a close game.
Missing - Lyall (work), T. Winter (injured), Rice (work) Calcott, Jefferies (away)
Reserves
The Reserves will try and complete the league campaign in full, with 9 games remaining. Meaning a lot of mid week action for the lads. The squad will be pushed to the limit. And they welcome league leaders to Badger Park. A real shame this one will be behind closed doors
Missing - Trevail who is recovering from knee surgery
Hambledon A
The A team season has been curtailed with too many games and a lack of pitches. So instead a cup competition is in place. With the Dons in Group B including Surrey Athletic, Weysiders, Guildford Park and Shalford u21. This kicks off on the 10th April
Hambledon Vets
No game this week as the lads look to keep the Mrs happy on Easter Sunday before trying to complete the league games and a quarter final too look forward to in the Runwick cup
Hambledon Vets Res
The Vets Res have a lot of games to complete and will be looking at some mid weeks to help complete the season. And they welcome Wrecclesham Vets to Badger Park this Sunday as they look to climb the table.
Good luck to all sides.
